I had a lot of fun with these.  “Black and Orange” was a challenge to produce an entry in the minimalist group contest which was mostly black background.  This was my effort.  Voting is open to the public — so take a look at the submissions and cast your votes here.  I don’t know if you have to register with FineArtAmerica or not.

“Window into Blackness” on the right is a photo of a window at the Brattonsville SC compound, a site used for much of the filming of the movie “The Patriot.”  It is a wonderful restoration of an old plantation community.  I find the small hint of the chair inside the dark room as seen through the black shuttered window to be somewhat disturbing and in keeping with the Hallowe’en season.
